Death, meaning, what we're here for, what we want to leave behind. Not heavy. Not clinical. Just honest people around a table, willing to go there together.
Café Mortel began in Switzerland and has traveled, quietly, around the world. The idea is simple — gather people around a table, share something warm to drink, and talk honestly about death.
Not to fix anything. Not to find answers. Just to make room for a conversation most of us never get to have.

You don't have to be grieving. You don't have to be sick. You don't have to have a question ready.
Some come because they've lost someone. Some come because they work alongside death — nurses, doulas, chaplains, hospice workers. Some come simply because something pulled them to the door.
All of it belongs at this table.
Mark your calendar. Come as you are.
